Opening the book

The book loads once and stays in this browser. Nothing you type leaves your computer.

How to use this

  1. Ask a question. Type it in the big box, or tap the microphone and say it. Then press Ask the book.
  2. Read the answer. You will see the book's own words, with the Paper, Section and Paragraph number, such as 113:2.7, so you can find them in your own book.
  3. Listen. Press Listen to the answer. A panel at the bottom shows which paragraph is being read, and that paragraph is outlined in gold. Use Back, Pause, Next or Stop. To hear one paragraph, press Listen under it.
  4. Share. Under every paragraph are buttons for Facebook, Email, Text message, WhatsApp and Instagram. The words and where to find them go with it. For Facebook, the words are copied for you: tap the post box and choose Paste.
  5. Share a few words. Highlight words with your finger or mouse, and a small bar appears to share only those words.
  6. Print or copy. Print prints a paragraph. Print the answer prints them all. Copy lets you paste the words anywhere.
  7. See more of the book. See it in the book shows the paragraphs before and after.
  8. Make it easier to see and hear. A− A A+ change the text size (your choice is remembered). Dark mode switches to a dark background for night reading — it follows your device setting until you pick one. The voice menu at the top picks the reading voice, including the Microsoft voices (Andrew, Ava, …) — the Listen buttons read answers aloud in the voice you pick.
  9. More tools. Search finds any word or phrase in the book. Places shows everything the book says about a place. Check a draft checks quotes in something you wrote.
  10. Six views, one bar. The tabs at the top switch views: Read (this page), Listen (read along with a human narration — pick a paper, then choose your own audio file), Plans (reading plans with check-offs), Quiz (flashcards: name the citation), Explore (maps, timelines and picture quotes), Tools (more ways to study: a quote checker for your browser, Bible comparisons, a who's-who lookup, and more). A link like ?ref=180:2.1 opens any paragraph directly, and Copy link under a paragraph shares it. Compare with the Bible under a paragraph opens its links in Bible comparisons.

This is free, needs no account, and your questions stay on your own computer.
